A poem of love my husband may not wish to hear

Love is a hard taskmaster, testing us at every turn,

We love but do we always like?

We love yet we sometimes disagree?

If we disapprove can we yet love?

Our love is absolute, tested, tried, true not trite but timeless.

Yes, though we disapprove, yet still we love

We long for the perfect love, suffer all
imperfections,

Yet still love the imperfect one we love so dear,

Long for the one less than absolutely perfect,

Yet our love is absolute, tested, tried, not trite but true and timeless

We judge and misjudge, let our thoughts be
master of our heart,

Disapproving, yet still we love absolutely,

Doomed to fail, yet failing all tests, still we love even when we disagree
