Storm on the river

White caps percolate through the river,

Distressing its surface, changing the smooth texture,

As it roils across in patterns of movement.

It will bubble, it will boil, rising a witch’s brew

And unfurling a pack of trouble, too pretty to hate,

But just menacing enough to fear.

The white caps foam randomly upsetting the calm.
