Somewhere between F-stops and
Wide angles, his wife walked away.
She left him alone to ponder how
To bring the world into his view-
Finder, adjusting his lens cleanly
Pointing at a spot not too far away
Nor so near as to be out of focus or
Beyond his range, or out of the frame.
The camera, once heavy, as he lugged it
On his neck, felt like the lightness of new
Prospects, vistas, all yet unexplored as
He set his sites, aimed, and pulled the trigger.
